Michael J Reynolds

Michael is an avid game shooter and has a passion for the high birds of Exmoor and the West Country. He also enjoys honing his skills on clays from some of the highest towers around the country.

Michael was trained by and learnt the art of infield coaching by some of the country’s best known shotgun coaches, one of whom is Pat Burridge, a former, senior instructor of West London Shooting School. Pat mentored Michael in the Percy Stanbury style of shooting, one of the all time greats who’s style of shooting is considered to be one of the best techniques still today. Pat at the time was considered to be one of the country’s leading game shooting coaches and after many years of mentoring passed on all his skills to Michael before his retirement.

Michael has a reputation for his very calm, relaxed and patient manner which in turn tends to rub off on his clients. His pleasant demeanour helps the client relax, builds their confidence and leads to an enjoyable infield shooting experience. Michael’s reputation has taken him all over the country coaching.  He has taught students across the whole spectrum of ability, from the ultimate beginner to the skilled, experienced shooter. He has been involved in fun clay days teaching the Boy Scouts, charity days for organisations such as Help for Heroes and has even been approached by a Bahraini Diplomat to coach three visiting Bahraini Sheikhs. This has resulted in a number of his regular clients being from the Gulf. He has also coached some  Pakistani government officials on one of his sporting days in Exmoor. Michael is a well known coach to all the premier shooting grounds such as Holland & Holland, Royal Berkshire, E.J Churchill and the A1 shooting ground.

With over 25 years experience in the hospitality industry within Central London and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, Michael is comfortable looking after the discerning client.

Michael is an APSI shotgun instructor, BASC accredited shotgun coach, safety officer and a BASC safe shot assessor. He holds a level 3 QCF qualification in learning and development.
